In anticipation of the 2,000-year anniversary of the birth of the Church in 2033, First Baptist Church (FBC) of Shreveport, Louisiana, has embraced the Baptist World Alliance’s Acts 2 Movement as a guiding vision for renewal, mission, and unity. Rooted in the spirit of Acts 2, FBC has committed to a decade-long journey of prayer, discipleship, generosity, and witness.
Beginning with intentional seasons of congregational prayer and teaching, First Baptist Shreveport re-centered its life together on the core practices of the early Church.
As we count down to 2033 around the world, First Baptist Church Shreveport’s story is one of faithful obedience and hopeful expectation. The Acts 2 Movement has reminded us that the Church is not defined by buildings or programs, but by people empowered by the Holy Spirit to love, serve, and proclaim the gospel. This impact story is still being written, and we invite your church to join the global Baptist family in preparing for this historic milestone.
