Stories of Impact Heading Into 2033
Living Acts 2 in Shreveport
“The ministry staff at First Baptist Shreveport got excited about the 2033 Movement after our Pastor encountered it at the Baptist World Alliance Annual Gathering. We saw an opportunity to align our local efforts with other Christians around the world to focus on the essential things — sharing our faith with neighbors, advocating for religious freedom, emphasizing the importance of scripture, and caring for those in need. In the Fall of 2025, our 7-week emphasis on the 2033 Movement energized our congregation to rally behind these objectives. Many of our members were inspired to live out their faith more boldly. One member shared they had always been timid about sharing their faith with a particular co-worker, but our 2033 lessons encouraged them to overcome their fear and have the conversation. Another member felt led to begin an evangelism ministry. At the end of the series, our congregants made commitments to carry on the 2033 initiatives at home and in our community.”
Beginning with intentional seasons of congregational prayer and teaching, First Baptist Shreveport re-centered its life together on the core practices of the early Church.
As we count down to 2033 around the world, First Baptist Church Shreveport’s story is one of faithful obedience and hopeful expectation. The Acts 2 Movement 2033 has reminded us that the Church is not defined by buildings or programs, but by people empowered by the Holy Spirit to love, serve, and proclaim the gospel. This impact story is still being written, and we invite your church to join the global Baptist family in preparing for this historic milestone.

Arlington, Texas and Hobarts in Tasmania Make it Their Own
At First Baptist Church Arlington, leaders were inspired by the Neighborhood Chaplain pathway and integrated it into their outreach strategy. Rather than adding another program, they framed it as a way to begin with prayer, listen well, and equip ordinary members to love and serve their neighbors with consistency and care.
Across the globe, Citywide Hobart, a Baptist church in Tasmania, has adapted similar materials for their own context—shaping language, pacing, and emphasis to fit their city while holding fast to the same gospel convictions.
These stories remind us that the Acts2Movement 2033 is not a one-size-fits-all model. It is a shared framework, flexible enough to be shaped by culture, context, and calling—yet rooted in Scripture, prayer, and love of neighbor.
